If you need more than 5 reminders or want SMS alerts, you can upgrade to our Curate plan (£4.99/month or £49.99/year). There's no pressure to upgrade — many users stay on the free plan indefinitely.
No! You can sign up for our free Discover plan with just your email address — no credit card required. We only ask for payment details if you choose to upgrade to the Curate plan.

Discover (free) members receive email reminders 7 days and 3 days before each occasion, plus a reminder on the day itself.
Curate members receive a fuller cadence: 21, 14, 10, 7, and 3 days before, plus a reminder on the day itself.
Curate members also receive SMS alerts at 14, 7, and 3 days before each occasion, plus a friendly SMS nudge on the day.
Absolutely! We love spontaneous gestures. When adding a reminder, you can choose "Just Because" as the occasion type. You will need to be a Curate member to access this reminder. This is perfect for sending unexpected gifts to maintain relationships outside of obligatory occasions.
You can set these for specific dates (like "send mum flowers every spring") or use them as periodic reminders to think of someone special.
Once you've bought a gift for an upcoming occasion, you can check the "gift purchased" box on your dashboard. This tells AGLAEA you're all sorted, and we'll stop sending you reminder emails for that specific occasion.
This prevents reminder fatigue—you won't get unnecessary emails once you've already handled the gift. The reminder card turns grey on your dashboard so you can see at a glance which gifts are sorted.
We'll also ask you if you'd like your reminder to be put in place for next year, saving you time re-entering birthdays or anniversaries!
Currently, reminders include the person's name, the occasion type, and the date. We're working on adding custom notes in a future update, which will let you record gift ideas, preferences, sizes, or any other helpful details.
No, we don't sell gifts ourselves. Instead, we curate a collection of luxury brands and direct you to their websites to shop. This means you get the full selection from each brand, not just a limited subset.

Yes! You can upgrade from Discover to Curate anytime from your dashboard. If you're on Curate and want to downgrade, cancelling takes effect immediately — you'll move to the free Discover plan straight away, rather than waiting until the end of a billing period.
When downgrading, if you have more than 5 reminders set up, you'll be asked to choose which 5 to keep active. The others won't be deleted — they'll just be paused until you upgrade again.
If you're on the Curate plan and want to cancel, simply go to your account settings and select "Cancel Subscription." Your account moves to the free Discover plan immediately, with up to 5 reminders staying active — any beyond that are paused, not deleted.
If you're on the free Discover plan, there's nothing to cancel—just stop using the service if you no longer need it. Your account and data remain available if you want to come back.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you're not satisfied with Curate within the first 14 days, contact us at hello@aglaea.co.uk and we'll refund your payment in full, no questions asked.
After 14 days, subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to prevent future charges.
