Here's a quick guide to everything on your dashboard — worth a read the first time, and you can always come back to it from Quick Actions.
➕ Adding your first reminder
Click "+ Add Reminder" at the top of Your Reminders. You'll be asked for the person's name, your relationship to them (optional — helps us tailor gift suggestions), the occasion, and the date. Once saved, they'll appear as a new card with their upcoming reminder.
Already added someone? Use the ➕ icon on their existing card to add another occasion for the same person, rather than creating them twice.
📋 Reading a reminder card
Each reminder shows the occasion, the date, and a countdown ("in 12 days"). Three icons sit on the right of active reminders:
🎁 Mark as Purchased — tell us you've sorted the gift (more below)
✏️ Edit — change the date, occasion, or notes
🗑️ Delete — remove the reminder entirely
✓ Marking a gift as purchased
Once you've bought something, click the 🎁 icon on that reminder. You'll be asked what you got them — this is optional, but worth filling in, since it's saved permanently to that person's Past Gifts (see below), so you'll always know what you gave them and when.
The card then greys out and shows a "✓ Purchased" badge, so it's clear at a glance what's still outstanding versus already sorted.
🔁 Setting up next year
Right after marking a gift purchased, we'll ask if you'd like the reminder set up again for next year automatically. Say yes, and the date rolls forward a year with nothing else to do — perfect for birthdays and anniversaries that repeat annually. Say no, and the reminder just stays marked as purchased until you're ready to deal with it.
📖 Past Gifts
Every person's card has a "Past Gifts" dropdown lower down. This is a running record of everything you've bought them through AGLAEA — the occasion, the date, and what you got them, if you noted it. Handy for avoiding repeats, or just remembering what worked well last time.
✨ Just Because reminders Curate
Beyond birthdays and anniversaries, Curate members can set up Just Because reminders — gentle, recurring nudges to surprise someone for no particular reason at all. Set the frequency (every 6 weeks, every 3 months, or random through the year) via the ✨ icon on a person's card, and we'll prompt you when the moment feels right.

Discover (free) gives you up to 5 reminders with email alerts 7 and 3 days before each occasion. Curate unlocks unlimited reminders, a fuller reminder schedule, SMS alerts, and Just Because — you can upgrade anytime from Quick Actions or your account settings.
Your profile, subscription, and account details all live under Settings, accessible from the menu at the top of the page.
